After a week at home in Virginia, we are back on the road
again. We flew back to Salt Lake City to
get our car and drove for 12hours through the desert to arrive in Santa FE,
NM. I never realized it but Santa Fe is
the oldest capital in the US. It was
founded in 1610 – 10 years before the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock. It is also a lot smaller than I expected –
with a population under 70,000 and no tall buildings, the highest being 4-5 stories.
We are staying in a small “casita”. Yes, I know that casita means little house but
this one is really small as you can see.
But it is all new inside and has a great outside area with a
pergola and fireplace.
