Adirondacks


It rained the last two days we were in Provincetown, so we left early Thursday morning (October 2) to head for the mountains.  We are staying at White Pine Camp in the Adirondacks – about 20 miles north of Lake Placid.  Here’s where we are staying - http://www.whitepinecamp.com/.  It’s very remote and the nearest town (Saranac Lake) is about 12 miles away. 


This is our "cabin."


 It was beautiful when we arrived (about 75 degrees) and sunny.  So, of course we relaxed with a glass of wine.
 

Then we toured the camp.  It really is beautiful, as you can see below.


 
And there are lots of activities - like bowling...
 
 
and tennis (The nets are gone but the clubhouse is still there!)
